For almost a decade, Jenny Anderson has hosted a National Night Out party at her home along Fourth Avenue Southeast.
Anderson and her friend, Rita Wendt, celebrated this year's event by offering tacos, cookies and cheesecake to their neighbors on a beautiful Tuesday evening, Aug. 3.
"We've been here 13 years, and this is probably the ninth year doing this," Anderson said. "The first one was just something new, to get the neighbors out. Now it's a tradition, a great opportunity to get to know our neighbors, our community leaders and our firefighters..."
