Grateful for the funding they received at a community appreciation event last May, Darwin "DJ" and Erin Olson used some of the money to purchase a gift for the Stewartville Fire Department.
The Olsons are especially thankful for the Fire Department's first responders who helped save the life of their son, Logan, who was 18 months old when he fell into a retention pond and nearly drowned on Wednesday, April 7.
First responders who arrived at the scene took over CPR efforts as they awaited the arrival of the Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service. Stewartville first responders who answered the call included Greg House, Aaron Jones, Steve Wolf, Justin Lonien, Jim Elliott, Lisa Jelinek, Ben Wolf, Steve Denny and Dan Swanson...
