The city of Stewartville and the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office appear close to reaching an agreement on a new law enforcement contract, City Administrator Bill Schimmel Jr. told the City Council at a special meeting last week.
"I think we have it pretty close to where it's going to be acceptable on both sides," Schimmel said. "We would continue on with a two-year renewal."
Schimmel and Kevin Torgerson, Olmsted County sheriff, discussed the contract on four separate occasions...
