The Stewartville Tiger 11U baseball team, coached by Scott Boettcher, and the 12U Tornadoes, coached by Mike Iverson, made a trip to Chippewa Falls, Wis. to compete in the annual Hallie Baseball Tournament, Aug. 5-8. Both teams sat through hours of rain delays before the 13-team 11U and 11-team 12U tournament was cancelled due to flooded fields. The cancellation concluded both teams' seasons. The 11U Tigers claimed three tournament championship titles and finished the season with a record of 39-12-1. The Tornadoes captured six tournament championship titles and finished the season with a record of 32-13-1.
