Josh Langseth placed 76th and Caleb Goff placed 95th out of 160 runners in the 16-team field at the MSHSL Class AA State Championship Cross Country meet at St. Olaf College on Nov. 6.
Competing against the best athletes from the top teams in the larger Class AA field, Langseth ran the challenging 5K course in a time of 17:46.15 while Goff crossed the finish line at 18:00.33.
"Josh and Caleb placed higher than they did against their Section 1AA rivals from the previous week," Tiger coach Mickey Tuseth praised. "I'm so proud of all they accomplished this season. They've shown their teammates what's possible and will strive to get the whole team to state next year."
Wayzata won the state AA team title, scoring 96 points and junior Nick Gilles of Minnetonka won the state AA individual title, finishing with a time of 15:22.
