There are more than 1.8 million reasons why feeding the hungry has become an annual tradition in Stewartville. The custom will continue once again this year when local and area workers gather at the Stewartville Civic Center on Saturday, April 4 beginning at 10 a.m. The volunteers will take part in Stewartville's 17th annual Food for Kidz, an event to be hosted by the Stewartville Kiwanis, Builders and Key clubs and Kiwanis clubs from Rochester, Spring Valley, Winona and Lake City. Individuals, families and workers from a number of Stewartville and area clubs and organizations will join representatives of Food for Kidz of Stewart, Minn. to assemble and package meals for the poor. Mary Brouillard, Diane Bergland and Janice Hagen, members of the Stewartville Kiwanis Club, are the co-chairs of this year's local event...
