Stewartville students Ella Minnich, Aaron Boland, Alexa Buntrock and Ignessa O'Byrne have all earned honorable mention in the 27th annual ZED creative writing contest.
To come up with their stories, the students studied a photo of a cat peeking up from the top of a bathtub at toilet paper and other items strewn about the bathroom floor. A caption under the photo states, "It wasn't me, I swear."
The contest was open to any ZED student in fifth through 12th grade. The students' stories were judged by three separate judges each between Nov. 4 and Nov. 22, 2019...
