Jenyce Habibovic opened Sweet House Bakery in Rochester on Monday, June 8. Her specialties include cinnamon rolls, pictured in the bottom row at left, made from a recipe she received from her grandparents, Don and Darlene Mueske, longtime owners of Tarsilla’s of Stewartville.

Jenyce Habibovic starts working early in the morning, sometimes at midnight, sometimes at 1 a.m.
Assisted by her employees, the owner of the recently opened Sweet House Bakery in Rochester makes classic croissants, apple turnovers, cookies, cupcakes, cinnamon rolls and much more for her customers, who begin arriving at 6 in the morning Tuesday through Friday and at 7 in the morning on Saturdays.
"It takes a long time," she said. "Everything is made fresh every day. It's a work of art every morning trying to beat the clock."
Habibovic is the granddaughter of the late Don and Darlene Mueske, the longtime owners of Tarsilla's Coffee House and Cafe in Stewartville. She has fond memories of her grandparents.
"They played a huge role in everything I did," she said. "Grandma did cakes on the side for people. I loved seeing her and grandpa giving food to people. They put their heart and soul into everything they did."
Then known by her maiden name, Jenyce Mueller, she began working at Tarsilla's when she was 15 years old...
