Al Chihak and Mike Ryan, at center-left with the scissors, with their wives, Peggy Chihak and Jenny Ryan, fourth and third from left, respectively, cut the ribbon to ceremoniously open R&C Storage on Wednesday, June 24. The Chihaks and Ryans bought the business from Clair Mrotek this past January. The Ryans' daughters, Claire, 3, and Kendall, 7, stand near Jenny and Peggy. Stewartville Area Chamber of Commerce members who welcomed the new business owners include, from left, Josh Buckmeier of ONB Bank, Nick Johnson of Thrivent Financial, Myrna Welter, Chamber membership coordinator; Gwen Ravenhorst, Chamber administrator; Dylan Smallwood of First Farmers&Merchants Bank; and Jared Johnson of Anytime Fitness. R&C Storage offers 89 storage units in Stewartville and 31 in Racine.
