Given the choice between learning from a distance and being with his teacher and friends in a classroom, Caden Nagel would rather be at school.
"I like just seeing all my friends," he said. "It makes math and reading a lot easier because I have the teacher right there."
Caden, 11, a fifth grader at Bear Cave Intermediate School, and his younger brother Carsen, 7, a first grader at Bonner Elementary School, will join more than 2,000 other Stewartville K-12 students who will start exclusive distance learning from home this Wednesday, Dec. 2.
