The Stewartville Tiger Trap Shoot team earned a team trophy for placing second in its eight-team Minnesota Clay Target League conference for the 2021 season.
John Russell, head coach, said the Clay Target League aligns conferences based on the number of registered athletes participating at each school.
The League uses a rather complex scoring system to determine standings, Russell said.
"It awards points in addition to the actual clay targets broken," he said. "(The system) provides an opportunity for all who participate to help the team..."
