Olmsted County authorities are looking for a police impersonator who calls himself "Sledgehammer."
Sgt. James Schueller of the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office said in an e-mail that a 22-year-old man told authorities he was pulled over by a squad car at the intersection of North Main and 20th Streets in Stewartville on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 10 p.m.
The driver of the stopped vehicle reported being approached by a white male described as 6-foot-2, 20 to 30 years old with an athletic build, a short black beard and a neck tattoo of a rose, Schueller said.
The man was wearing a tactical vest adorned with "Sergeant" chevrons, a name tag reading "Sledgehammer," a baseball cap with "Rochester Police Department" written on it, a thigh holster with a gun and magazines, and a green Taser, Schueller said...
