Fareway Stores, Inc. announced last week its plans for distributing $1,000 worth of gift cards to chambers of commerce in communities the store serves in Minnesota, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska and South Dakota. Robert Hruska, grocery manager of Stewartville's Fareway store, center, displays the 20 Fareway gift cards, worth $50 each, distributed to Gwen Ravenhorst, administrator of the Stewartville Area Chamber of Commerce, left, and Mryna Welter, Chamber membership coordinator, right. The Chamber will give the cards to Chamber-member businesses struggling as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Welter said.
