As of last week, the state fire marshal and Olmsted County officials were investigating the cause of a fire that badly damaged a Stewartville home at 400 Second Street Northwest. “The garage was totaled, and there was significant damage inside the home,” said Capt. Steve Denny of the Stewartville Fire Department.

Fire significantly damaged a northwest Stewartville home last week.
Firefighters got the call on Sunday, April 19 at 9:48 p.m., said Capt. Steve Denny of the Stewartville Fire Department. Twenty-five firefighters, two engines, two tankers, a ladder truck, a rescue truck and a brush (utility) truck responded.
When firefighters arrived at 400 Second Street Northwest, a detached garage was fully involved in flames and the fire was moving through the home's walls to the basement and the first and second floors, Denny said...
