The city of Stewartville will receive $469,897 in federal CARES funding, designed to help cities, townships and counties affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
In late June, Gov. Walz announced he would distribute to local entities the full $841 million in CARES funding the state of Minnesota received from the federal government, according to a news release from Minnesota Senate Republicans.
Carla Nelson, who represents District 26, including Stewartville, in the Minnesota State Senate, thanked Walz for following the Senate's lead to fully distribute the funding to local entities...
