The Stewartville City Council, city staff and developers interested in building subdivisions west of Stewartville discussed the project at length at Stewartville City Hall on Wednesday evening, Aug. 12. The Council then OK’d a feasibility study for the West Development from SEH, the city’s engineering firm.

City leaders are moving forward with plans to work with three developers considering building single-family homes and/or townhomes just west of Stewartville.
The City Council, at its regular meeting last week, unanimously approved a feasibility study for the West Development, prepared by Short Elliott Hendrickson (SEH), the city's engineering firm.
Mayor Jimmie-John King and councilpersons Craig Anderson, Brent Beyer, Jeremiah Oeltjen and Josh Arndt all approved a resolution accepting the SEH study.
Marv Schumann, Wayne and Nancy Gunderson, and Al Chihak, the developers, were on hand for a lengthy discussion about SEH's feasibility study last Wednesday evening, Aug. 12...
