Two incumbents and two challengers are seeking two open seats on the Stewartville City Council.
Brent Beyer and Jeremiah Oeltjen, the incumbents, have both filed for re-election. Elected to their first terms in November 2016, both are seeking a second four-year term.
Dick Uptagrafft, who has served five Council terms, has also filed for a Council seat. In November 2018, Uptagrafft, then an incumbent, finished third among four candidates seeking two Council seats.
Daniel J. Ware, who has run for a seat on the Council every even-numbered year since 2000, has filed an affidavit of candidacy and will also challenge the incumbents for a Council seat.
