Morning Lions' White Cane Day will help restore sight

Autumn is a season of color in southeastern Minnesota. Leaves on the trees turn from green to bright shades of red, orange and gold.
Those with eyes to see may sometimes take the world's color and beauty for granted, but others with sight problems may never witness the beauty of autumn.
The Stewartville Morning Lions Club, working to restore the gift of sight to those suffering from a variety of eye diseases, will host its annual fall White Cane Day on Saturday, Oct. 17. On that day, club members will seek donations at both Casey's stores, both Kwik Trip stores, and Fareway from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
One hundred percent of the money collected will be donated to the Minnesota Lions Eye Bank, the University of Minnesota Macular Degeneration Center, and the Children's Eye Clinic...
