The story of 2020: the coming of COVID-19

The year of Our Lord 2020 will forever be remembered as the year of the pandemic.
In Stewartville, across the United States and around the world, the coronavirus (COVID-19) closed schools, forced restaurants to serve only take-out food, eliminated traditional graduation ceremonies, reduced church attendance, cancelled sports events and changed people's vocabulary to include terms such as "social distancing," "community spread," and "flattening the curve."
The pandemic reached Stewartville in mid-March, when shoppers concerned about the spread of the virus quickly emptied Fareway's shelves of a variety of items...
