Stewartville's teachers drove their cars around the city last Tuesday, March 24, honking their horns and waving to students and parents at the curbs and sidewalks along the parade route. With Minnesota's school's closed by the coronavirus, the teachers wanted to demonstrate that they missed their students. In the photo at right, Kayla Kochen, far right, sits along the parade route with kindergartner Jade Mohs, 6, Kayla's foster daughter and niece, and daughters Ever, 5, a kindergartner, and Taylor, who wave to the passing cars. Below, Sydney Johnson, foreground, and Rachel Loechler, driving, fourth grade teachers at Bear Cave Intermediate School, send a message to their students.
