The Stewartville High School class of 2020 will be on parade this Sunday afternoon, June 7.
After receiving their diplomas near the entrance to SHS beginning at 2 p.m. that day, the graduates, sitting in their cars, wearing their caps and gowns and accompanied by members of their families, will take part in a vehicular parade through the neighborhoods of Stewartville.
"After collecting their diplomas, students will proceed directly into a parade that will travel from school and follow a route through town," said Patrick Breen, principal of Stewartville High School. "The Stewartville Fire Department has generously agreed to lead and trail the families."
School officials are hoping for a large turnout along the parade route, since June 7 was the originally-scheduled commencement date, Breen said...
