On a warm, sunny Sunday afternoon, June 7, a long line of vehicles crawled slowly toward the entrance to Stewartville High School.
Inside the cars, pickups and sport utility vehicles were the graduates of the SHS class of 2020, wearing their ceremonial caps and gowns and accompanied by their parents, siblings and friends.
Belinda Selfors, superintendent, and Patrick Breen, principal of SHS, waited just outside the school building to honor each graduate with a diploma, kind words, and in some cases, scholarship awards.
Susan Grant, senior class advisor, stood near the entrance to the high school, announcing the names of each graduate as they passed by.
Breen, speaking after the ceremony, estimated that about 120 of the 144 graduating seniors from the SHS class of 2020 took part in the student parade, which started at the high school and continued along the streets of Stewartville...
