Restricted by state guidelines for the coronavirus (COVID-19), local school officials have cancelled the Stewartville High School class of 2020's commencement ceremony.
Earlier this month, school officials had remained hopeful that the commencement could still be held at Schaefer Field on Friday evening, July 24.
In an e-mail he sent last Thursday, July 9, Patrick Breen, principal of Stewartville High School, informed this year's graduates and their families that the outdoor ceremony has been cancelled...
