7/27/2020 11:44:00 AM Trap team lands nine in top 25
The Stewartville High School Clay Target Trap team captured first place in the seven-team 1A-Conference 6 five-week spring season, April 14 through June 24.
The Tiger shooters averaged a weekly score of 2,184.70, finishing with a total score of 10,923.50, distancing themselves from second-place Lake of the Woods by 548 points.
Conference 6 fielded 200-plus student-athletes this spring. Stewie had seven males and two females in the league's top 25 shooters.
Tigers earning top-25 honors included Hunter Olson, Isaac Harreld, Zachery Boelman, Austin Graff, Nate Kappers, Michael Anderson and Mason Ristau. Top 25 Tiger girls were Gentry Sovers and Emma Rowen.
Stewartville's Clay Target sign-up for the fall season will be held on Monday, August 10 at the Stewartville Sportsmans Club from 6 p.m to 8:30 p.m. The schedule for the fall Minnesota High School Clay Target League can be found at: mnclaytarget.com
