Haylie Strum, a first-time 5K racer and new member to the Stewartville girls cross country team, became the No. 1 runner, debuting in her first varsity meet, when she led the Tigers to 27 points and a first-place finish at the season's first triangular against Rochester Lourdes and Zumbrota-Mazeppa in Stewie on Sept. 3.
Girls 1st at Byron Triangular
Stewartville went on the road expecting a close race with Byron and came home 14 points better than Byron and 46 points better than Pine Island to win the Byron triagular on Sept. 10.
Boys 3rd at Stewie Triangular
The young Tiger boys team was led by sophomore Caleb Goff, who placed second overall in a 5K time of 18:51.
