First-year varsity runner Haylie Strum turned on the jets in the final 100 meters to pass Lake City's four-time state qualifier Jacie Majerus and capture first place at the Lake City triangular. Strum and her Stewartville girls cross country teammates scored 32 points, claiming second place behind Lake City with 26.
Caleb Goff led the Stewartville boys to 47 points and second place to host Lake City with 20 points, but 21 better than third-place Cannon Falls with 68...
