The Minnesota State High School League's Board of Directors has voted to reinstate football and volleyball to their normal fall season. The Board, at a special meeting on Sept. 21, approved a plan for the football season to begin Sept. 28 with the first of six regular-season games scheduled for the week of Monday, Oct. 5. The Board also approved two weeks of postseason play beginning the week of Nov. 16. Volleyball will begin an 11-week season on Sept. 28, with MSHSL schools playing their first matches on Thursday, Oct. 8.
