Five Stewartville wrestlers competed at the MSHSL Individual State Prelims 1AA versus 4AA tournament at Cannon Falls on March 20 with the hopes of advancing to the Class AA State Individual Championships.
Christian Sackett showcased the five Tigers representing Stewartville in the prelims tourney by winning two of his four matches to capture fourth place in his 195-pound weight class. Jon Laures at 120 pounds and Caden King at 285 went 1-2 at their respective weight classes to claim sixth place while Lucas Larson at 126 pounds and Tanner Elzen at 132 pounds went 0-2 and did not place in their respective weight brackets.
