Kent Richard Rollie, 67, of Tucson, Arizona and raised in Stewartville, died on April 25, 2020 of complications of COVID-19 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tucson.
He was born on Jan. 2, 1953 in Spring Valley to Donald and Roselyn (Schwinefus) Rollie. He attended Stewartville schools, graduating in 1971.
Kent moved to Tucson 40 years ago and owned and operated Rollie Painting Inc. He was married on Oct. 8, 1996 in Tucson to Kitti Lund.
Kent was a hardworking man and wonderful husband to Kitti and father to Kara and will be missed dearly. He enjoyed fishing and camping, especially the Boundary Waters area of Minnesota and Mount Lemmon area of Arizona, hunting, and loved entertaining family and friends at their place in Cholla Bay, Mexico for more fishing and sand rail rides. His friends and family will especially miss his good-natured humor and mischievous laughter.
Kent is survived by his wife, Kitti; daughter, Kara of Bremerton, Wash., who serves in the U.S. Coast Guard; parents Raymond and Roselyn Engel of Neillsville, Wis.; three brothers and two sisters, Kevin (Donna) Rollie of Elgin, Craig Rollie of Williams, Ariz, Lisa Engel of Shoreview, Jeff (Pam) Engel of Carbonado, Wash. and Wendy (Mike) Bessingpas of Chatfield.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald, who tragically passed away in a vehicle accident in 1959.
Due to public health concerns, no service or visitation for Kent will be held at this time. A July memorial service is anticipated in Stewartville. The family asks that no flowers be sent at this time.
Griffin-Gray Funeral Home in Stewartville is assisting the family with arrangements.
