Kenneth N. Denny passed away of natural causes Jan. 18, 2021. He was born to Edwin and Alberta Denny on Sept. 17, 1931 in Stewartville. He went to high school in Austin, and college at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and Winona State University.
Ken married Alta Faye Keyser in June of 1953.
He was a high school math teacher for 40 years, first in Byron, then Whitehall, Wisconsin and finally in Preston, where he also coached basketball and golf and was athletic director. At various times he also managed the summer recreation program, swimming pool, the Preston Golf and Country Club. He was an EMT and director of the Preston Ambulance Service.
He is survived by his sisters, Jean (Frank) Weber, and Joan (Robert) Thompson; his brother, Philip Denny; his four children, Victoria Denny, Victor (Wendy) Denny, Keith Denny and Lisa Miland; grandchildren, Christopher Denny, Paul Trende, Nathan (Juli) Denny, Adam (Emily) Denny, Nicole (Joe) Lukkason and Samantha (Sean) Hinton; great-grandchildren, Claudia, John, Angelique, Cade, Eli, Autumn, Maggie, Vivian and Helen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Vernon and his wife.
Upon his wishes, his body has been donated to the Mayo Clinic. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
