12/22/2021 9:59:00 AM Duane Hall, longtime area resident, dies following lengthy illness
Duane F. Hall, 66, of Stewartville, died on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021 following a lengthy illness, at Mayo Clinic Rochester-St. Marys Campus, where he had been a patient for the past week.
Duane Francis Hall was born on Nov. 3, 1955 in Rochester to Robert and Dorothy (Bakken) Hall. He grew up in Stewartville, attended school there, graduating from Stewartville High School in 1973. He worked construction, farmed and drove truck most of his life.
Duane was married on June 30, 1979 to Diane M. Severson. Following their marriage the couple lived in Oronoco for a number of years and were later divorced. He enjoyed snowmobiling, trucking and spending time with his grand-daughters.
He is survived by one daughter and one son, Jennifer (Jason) Soland and granddaughters, Quinn and Charlie of Decorah, Iowa and Jerry Hall of rural Grand Meadow; two sisters and one brother, Don (Pam) Hall of New Prague, Marge (Vic) Christensen of Coon Rapids, and Marilyn Schroeder of Rochester.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
