Brett L. Neubauer, 50, of Stewartville, died on Monday, Dec. 14, 2020 of natural causes at his home.
Brett Lee Neubauer was born on Sept. 9, 1970 in Rochester, to Jerry and Barbara (Helland) Neubauer. He grew up in Stewartville, attended school there, graduating from Stewartville High School in 1990. He attended Faribault Technical College receiving an associate degree in custodial building management. He was employed as a custodian at JC Penney in Rochester and then at the Stewartville High School for a few years. Brett was employed at Jimmy's Salad Dressings in Stewartville as a production worker for over 25 years until present. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Stewartville. He was an avid bicyclist participating in many long distance rides including RAGBRAI, and biked in support of the Minnesota Diabetes Association. He enjoyed working on bikes for resale or to give away to others who needed one. He also spent time deer hunting, camping, snowmobiling, and followed the Green Bay Packers. He loved time spent with his family and friends.
Brett is survived by his parents, Barb and Jerry Neubauer of Stewartville; his sister, Sherry (Jim) Oeltjenbruns of Rochester, and nieces, Anna and Sarah; his brother, Wade (Bridget) Neubauer of Stewartville, and nephews, Chase and Reed.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, aunt, Carole Darling, and uncles, Bruce Helland, Brian Helland, and Tom Wood, Sr.
Burial and a committal service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 21, 2020 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Stewartville, with Rev. Kim Kyllo officiating.
A Celebration of Life for Brett will take place this spring, the date and time to be determined.
